The life we remember
Safi was athletic, sensitive and remarkably attentive to the people around her. She taught patience because rushing never worked with her, and confidence because once trust was earned she gave it completely. Many of the best memories are not of riding at all, but of quiet time beside her in the paddock.
On a difficult day she simply stood beside her rider in the paddock for nearly an hour without moving away.
